Note: PostExpert currently concludes contracts exclusively with entrepreneurs; contracts with consumers are excluded (section 1 of the GTC). The statutory right of withdrawal is available only to consumers. This withdrawal policy therefore currently applies only in the event that, contrary to that exclusion, a contract is nevertheless concluded with a consumer, and otherwise applies again as soon as we open up the conclusion of contracts with consumers.

Your right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded.

Exercising the right of withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (PostExpert, email: info@postexpert.de) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form for this purpose, although it is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your notice concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we receive notice of your withdrawal from this contract. For this reimbursement, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement.

If you expressly requested that we begin providing the service before the withdrawal period expires, we will retain a pro-rata amount from the refund for the period you have already used. We explain how this amount is calculated in the next section.

Immediate start: what this means for your right of withdrawal

PostExpert is a digital service you can use straight away. That is why, during the ordering process (checkout), we expressly ask you via a separate checkbox that is not pre-selected for permission to begin providing the service before the fourteen days have elapsed. Here is what that means for you:

• You keep your right of withdrawal. As long as your subscription is running, our service has not yet been performed in full. You can therefore withdraw within the fourteen days — even if you have already used PostExpert.
• You only pay for the time you had. If you withdraw, we retain a pro-rata amount for the period from the start of the service until we receive your withdrawal (compensation for value). We refund everything else.
• How we calculate it: price of the current billing period ÷ number of days in it × number of days used. Example: Pro plan at €39.95 per month, 30-day billing period, withdrawal on day 7 — we retain around €9.32 and refund you around €30.63.
• Your right of withdrawal only expires once we have performed the service in full. With a running monthly or annual subscription, that is generally not the case within the first fourteen days.
• Withdrawal is not the same as cancellation. Withdrawal unwinds the contract within the first fourteen days. After that you can cancel at any time — the contract then ends at the end of the billing period you have already paid for (section 8 of our GTC).
